We are so excited to see you. Now, who are these two crazy ladies?
Why thank you for asking. Dan and Ed are your Wild Sparks and they are all about celebrating rural, regional and remote women. Helping you be the best you can be, no matter where you live!
Dan and Ed co-founded Wild Spark back in 2019. Well, actually, Dan had been wanting to do something like this for quite some time. She then ran a few ideas past Ed – logo design, colours etc and next minute you know she was asking Ed to join her on this crazy journey. Of course, Ed said YES and the rest is history. They sealed the deal over a glass of wine at the Brooky Store and off they went. Dan needed a crazy partner in crime to make this thing called Wild Spark happen.
Dan lives on a remote cattle station in the Northern Territory. It is 5 hours, 12 gates, 200km of dirt road and 188km of bitumen from town. Bum truck nowhere! On the station Dan is the station cook. She feeds around 16 people each day and has even published her own cookbook – Miss Chardy’s Guide to Station Cooking. Oh yes, she also does a spot of blogging on the side and her blog is called Miss Chardy – Laughter in the Outback. This is where she shares her life on a remote cattle station and lots of recipes.
Ed lives down in Brookfield, Brisbane. Just 30 minutes from the city. Ed is one of the most generous people you will ever meet. She loves helping people so it is no wonder she decided to study nursing at age 40. Before this she was a beautician and owned her own Clarins salon in Paddington for many years. She is a mover and shaker and will try her hand at just about anything, no job is to big or scary for her. She is always willing to pitch in and can turn her hand to just about anything. She also loves horses and when she isn’t working or helping others she loves to hook up her horse float, stack the fridge with wine and nibbles and hit the road with her girlfriends.
